About Peggy

Working in therapeutic and mental health support roles since 2002, with specialist experience supporting those recovering from addiction.

With NHS waiting lists growing and life getting busier, many people turn to online counselling for quick and accessible help. I offer the same care and expertise as in-person sessions, with the added convenience of flexible scheduling.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and work within its Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018). I also have monthly supervision sessions with an experienced supervisor, who oversees my counselling work.

Experience

I was in private practice in Bloomsbury, London, as a clinical hypnotherapist from 2002 until 2008, and worked as a freelance writer and blogger from 2009 to the present while raising a family.

From 2017 to 2019 I worked in a residential addiction treatment centre in Plymouth, south Devon, including lone working with ex-offenders and clients with complex mental health needs.

Since 2019 I have been a founding director of Mindful Art Club, a Community Interest Company offering mental health support groups using mindfulness, art and conversation in Plymouth.

As a student counsellor I worked online and in person at Devon Mind with adult clients of all ages and a wide variety of presenting issues, including trauma, bereavement, domestic abuse, anxiety and depression.
